Pastoral Care in Loddon Mallee

Pastoral Care is one way of expressing care through our church and ministries.

For the presbytery, pastoral care includes:

  • striving for people's safety and wellbeing
  • ongoing support for leaders of all kinds in congregations
  • supervision and support for ministers and their families who are placed in congregations
  • ongoing care for retired ministers.

We are encouraging meaning and purpose in our presbytery by offering supporting congregations and communities at the turning points in life.

We offer resources to help people strengthen their spiritual life by encountering scripture and nourishing prayer.

We also offer support in times of ill health or changes in relationships. We celebrate new life in baptisms, relationships through marriages, and give thanks for lives through funerals.

Spiritual Care in Loddon Mallee

Our presbytery also supports Spiritual Care through Bendigo Health. Spiritual Care is an expression of care that reaches beyond traditional or denominational patterns.

‘Spirituality is a dynamic and intrinsic aspect of humanity through which persons seek ultimate meaning, purpose, and transcendence, and experience relationship to self, family, others, community, society, nature, and the significant or sacred.’ *
